The short answer

A practical Solana copy trading guide: choose a wallet, fund USDC and SOL, set entry and exit rules, then review your own fills.

Begin with a Solana wallet, not just a trading profile

A Solana copy follows activity on Solana. A trader’s EVM activity is separate even if both wallets appear under one profile. Confirm the source wallet and chain before judging whether the trader is quiet or whether a copy missed anything.

In Maya, Solana wallet creation is optional during onboarding. Create it if you want Solana copying, check the displayed address and grant its trading permission. An existing Base wallet and its permission do not replace this step.

Why you need both USDC and SOL

USDC funds the copied purchase. SOL pays native network fees. The current minimum copied buy is $10, and Maya’s one-buy Solana gas check is 0.01 SOL. That check is a readiness reserve, not a claim that every swap costs 0.01 SOL.

Cash on Base does not fund this wallet automatically. Use the Solana receiving address, confirm the destination asset and keep enough SOL for later sells and withdrawals. Sponsored or USDC-paid gas is not currently available in Maya.

Set limits for repeated activity

A fixed amount per buy controls each entry, not the total a busy trader can spend over several signals. Review buys per coin, token budget and entry filters. If you intend to follow only new positions, inspect the first-buys-only setting.

For example, three eligible $10 entries use $30 of trade value before costs. If the same token is involved, the later exit operates on the quantity your account actually accumulated. Do not assume the leader’s number of tokens or average entry matches yours.

Include service fees in the plan

Maya’s standard service fee is 2% on executed copied buys and sells. Verified holders of 10,000,000 MAYA in their Maya Base dashboard wallet qualify for 0% Maya service fees on supported copy chains, including Solana. SOL gas, venue fees and slippage remain separate.

A $10 buy has a $0.20 service fee at the standard rate. A later $12 sale has a $0.24 service fee. Those are examples of two executed legs, not a forecast of returns or a complete cost estimate.

What to review after the first fill

Check the transaction link, token amount and open position. When an exit occurs, compare the sold fraction and remaining tokens. Partial profit-taking can leave a position open; a later sale may close the remainder.

Read skipped entries by their actual reason: funds, permission, protection or route availability can each prevent a purchase. A working Solana trade does not certify every token or future exit. Stops and copied sells still depend on a route that can execute at that time.

Keep your next step clear.

Review the wallet, network and copy rules before starting.
